Den 28th Worldwide Winter Universiade in Almaty and EXPO 2017 “Future Energy” in Astana are presenting Kazakhstan to the world as a new and exciting tourist destination in Asia.
One of the greatest sports competitions began in Almaty yesterday. In only a few months’ time, on July 10, there will be an event no less impressive in scale – the EXPO 2017 International Specialized Exhibition in Astana.
Kasakhstan blev for nylig omtalt i New York Times' "52 Places to Go" - en førende årlig liste over turistdestinationer. EXPO 2017 blev nævnt af forfatterne som en nøglebegivenhed, der er værd at besøge. EXPO 2017 og Universiaden vil tiltrække turister fra hele kloden.
Som en del af udstillingen har arrangørerne planlagt særlige ture for internationale gæster og borgere i Kasakhstan, der inkluderer besøg på EXPO 2017 og se landets vartegn.
Turister vil få mulighed for at besøge 12 naturparker, hvor de vil være i stand til at se så unikke steder som Charyn Canyon, Kolsai Lakes, Borovoye, Bayanaul og Karkaraly og genstande på UNESCOs verdensarvsliste (Khoja Ahmeds mausoleum Yasawi, helleristningerne fra Tamgaly og relikvier langs Silkevejsruten), eller rejs til særlige destinationer såsom Baikonur Cosmodrome – det største rumopsendelseskompleks i verden.
Universiaden og EXPO 2017 har tidligere underskrevet et memorandum om samarbejde. En udstillingsmærkezone er placeret i iskomplekset i Almaty Arena, hvor besøgende kan lære om EXPO 2017 nøglebegivenheder, pavilloner, deltagere, projekter og Kasakhstans vartegn og købe en billet til denne førende globale begivenhed inden for vedvarende energi .
The Universiade takes places in Almaty from January 29 through February 8. It is a sports competition held under the aegis of the International University Sports Federation (FISU), in which students, postgraduate students, and graduates, aged 17-28, are allowed to compete. 2,000 athletes from 55 countries participate in the Universiade.
EXPO 2017 i Astana
The International Specialized Exhibition EXPO 2017 “Future Energy” is a showcase and entertainment event, which will be held from June 10 through September 10, 2017 in Astana, Kazakhstan. Lasting for 93 days, it will prove one of the most spectacular cultural events of the year. At the moment, 112 countries and 18 international organisations have confirmed their participation.
